This picture is very emotive, Ophelia
Did you took it on Memorial's Day?

I am sorry to know that you father lost his live during WW2. I have been reading a lot about the pacific war recently. Did he fought there?

Thank you, Israaeel.
My father fought in WWII, but he died in 1995.
This was not from Memorial Day. I went to my hometown Friday and Saturday, and I spent some time alone at his grave with my guitar.

This is very soft, loving and intimate. It almost seems like a portrait the way you added adornments to the close angled shot. I can't say I've ever seen such a sweet photo with subject matter like this. Nicely done.

Thank you very much. I do still miss him after all these years.

Somehow I feel like I've revealed more about myself in this one shot than in the rest of my gallery combined.
:iconqwikdrah:
I can see why you'd feel that way, on both counts.
I hope your not feeling too exposed, though, as anyone who doesn't know you would only see a sentimental, albeit slightly mournful photo.

I don't feel too exposed in a bad way. I just feel like I was really going out on a limb there. And I expected only a few people to catch how emotionally loaded the image is.

Oh, I see
He must have told you great stories from those times.

Some were great, some were horrible. He was shell-shocked... tortured in his nightmares for the rest of his life.
